Positive: The apartment is in a great location, and communication with the host was excellent – fast and responsive. The WiFi worked very well. The parking spot was convenient and easy to access. There’s a Trader Joe’s nearby (open from 9 AM to 9 PM), which was very helpful. The apartment also had a washer and dryer, and the kitchen was well equipped. Access to the pool and hot tub was definitely a nice bonus.
Negative: Although the stay was generally okay, unfortunately, the details made a big difference in overall comfort. The overhead light in the bedroom didn’t work – only the bedside lamps did – which made the room feel quite gloomy. There were no curtains or blinds that properly blocked out the light, so as soon as the sun came up, the bedroom and living room were flooded with light, making it difficult to sleep. The front door key kept jamming, and sometimes it took several minutes just to enter or exit the apartment. The wardrobe had only one shelf at the top, which wasn’t nearly enough space to organize our belongings. The shower curtain was dirty and moldy. Another downside was the lack of a self check-in option – we had to stay in constant contact with the host to arrange a precise arrival time. The bed in the bedroom was way too soft and uncomfortable — in my opinion, the mattress is simply very worn out and saggy, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep. Also, the refrigerator was very loud, which made it difficult for our daughter to sleep in the living room.
Summary: The stay was fine, but a number of small issues made it less comfortable than expected
