Lovely, spacious, privately situated post and beam main house and separate guest cottage just 1.3 miles from Lambert's Cove Beach. Beautiful, grounds include deck with vine-covered pergola and gently sloping lawn backing up to conservation land with hiking trails. French doors to circular screened porch off dining room. Large semi-circular balcony off second-floor primary bedroom with panoramic views of grounds and conservation land. First floor bedroom and full bath. Double height cathedral ceiling living room with floor-ceiling bookcases and piano. Gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Ductless A/C in every room. Many unique and charming features. Separate 400 square foot guest cottage includes 4th bedroom, A/C, sitting area, coffeemaker, microwave, full bathroom, its own patio and outdoor shower.
We have implemented additional cleaning and disinfecting procedures recommended by the CDC, including disinfecting hard surfaces (light switches, door knobs, cabinet/drawer pulls, kitchen items, remote controls, etc.) and spraying disinfecting solution on soft surfaces (upholstered furniture, bedding, carpets, etc.). We have also supplied plenty of extra pillowcases, sheets and blankets. However, if you would like to bring your own bedding or use a linen rental service, please let us know.

"We had a great time, The house is big, comfortable and beautiful. The master bedroom and sitting room, especially, are wonderfully light, and airy and pleasant. The furnishings are comfortable--great king-size bed! The screened porch is a great place to relax and the deck has a long table for eating outdoors. I don't think we heard a sound from the road or the neighbors during our stay.
The garden and grounds are also lovely, but we didn't spend much time there because we went to Lambert's Cove beach every day. It's the best beach for kids on the island, with soft sand and calm sea. In the mornings it's almost empty. The beach is about six or seven minutes from the house by car--a bit too far to walk with young kids but probably 20-30 minutes for adults. The bottom line is, this is a great place and we highly recommend it!
