Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The location was lovely and we loved the little animals we saw throughout the week. We got a rare glimpse of a racoon and there were groundhogs running around every day. Its very close to downtown and Broadway. I do think it is walkable but on the days that were too hot, we did end up getting an uber. The apartment was spacious, had everything you needed for cooking, has a fridge and freezer. Two bathrooms. The beds were very comfy too. Plenty of drawers and wardrobe space which is what you would want for a long stay. There were coffee and some snacks provided which was lovely too.
Negative: On some nights we were kept awake by the guests staying upstairs. The floors are very thin so you can hear everything. They were very loud between 2 and 6 in the morning - they walked around very heavily which we know, if heavy footed can't be helped but they werent mindful with it. They also at one point during the day kept running up and down the apartment. They also were banging on the walls as well. It might be worth trying to find out who rents out the apartment above to see if they can place a sign to be mindful of noise. The floors in the apartment werent the cleanest. We walked around bare foot and within a few minutes, our feet were very dirty. There was also lots of dust and bits underneath the furniture. When using the cutlery, we did have to wash quite a bit of it before as it was dirty.
